Secondary School => High Achievers Preparation Program => 1st year of Bachelor Degree

The High Achievers Preparation Program (HAPP) is specifically designed for high achieving students who have excellent academic results and English skills. If you just missed out on direct entry to the University of Sydney, this program will help you fast-track into the first year of a bachelor degree at the university within 5 months. Our dedicated mentoring program will keep you on track for success.

    • India
      • CBSE – best 4 externally examined subjects, an aggregate of 14.5.
      • India Higher Secondary Certificate awarded by state boards EXCEPT Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh & Telangana – An average of 90% in the best of 5 content-based subjects
    • Indonesia
      • SMA 3 (new system) – 9 in 4 best content-based subjects and good cohort ranking
      • SMU 3 (old system) – 90% average in 4 best content-based subjects and good cohort ranking
    • Malaysia
      • STPM best 3 Advanced level subjects with an aggregate of 14
      • STPM best 4 Advanced level subjects with an aggregate of 13
      • UEC average A2
    • Sri Lanka A levels aggregate of 6 in best 3 subjects
    • Taiwan GSAT 5 Subjects with an overall grade of 65 or General High School Diploma with a Senior High School Leaving Certificate and an average of 90% in content-based subjects
    • Thailand Matayom 6 with GPA 3 on 4 point GPA scale
    • Vietnam Year 12 Graduation Diploma GPA 9.0 or Year 12 High School Final Result from the approved gifted high schools with an average grade of 9 in content-based subjects

English Language Requirement (Academic IELTS) 

  • Overall 6.0 with no band score less than 5.5 for programs that have a direct entry overall IELTS cut-off score to the University of IELTS 6.5
  • Overall 6.5 with no band score less than 6.0 for programs that have a direct entry overall IELTS cut-off score to the University of IELTS 7.0
  • Overall 7.0 with no band score less than 6.5 for programs that have a direct entry overall IELTS cut-off score to the University of IELTS 7.5
  • Overall 6.5 or equivalent is required for those wishing to enter the Business School

  7. Certificates of any additional courses or activities (if any)

Progression Degree

The High Achievers Preparation Program (HAPP) is a competency-based course. You must be deemed competent in all your subjects and meet the English entry requirements to progress to the degree you wish to study at the University of Sydney.

This programme can lead to one of the undergraduate degrees at The University of Sydney. (Subject to meeting the progression grades requirement)
