James Cook University Singapore

James Cook University Singapore campus established in 2003 and is fully owned by James Cook University Australia. Students who graduate from JCU Singapore will get the same global recognition as graduated from JCU Australia.

In 2015, JCU Singapore is the 1st institution received the Singapore Education Trust Certification Star Rating (Edu Trust Star), and obtain it again in 2019. This is the highest certification offered in this area.

JCU Singapore became the only private institution in Singapore to be recognized with “University status” in 2016, this allows the JCU Singapore campus to call itself a university.

The Singapore Institute of Management (SIM) was founded in 1964 by the Economic Development Board. As a private educational institution in Singapore, SIM provides offers a diverse range of education pathways and professional training.

PSB Academy

PSB Academy was a division of Singapore’s National Productivity Board (NPB), It was formalised in 1988, corporatized in 2001 and privatised in 2006.

In 2010, PSB Academy was the first beach of private education instructions to receive the Singapore Education Trust 4-Year award, and obtain it again in 2014 and 2018.

In 2017, the PSB Academy was recognised by APAC Insider as the Education Institution of the Year, while also winning the SBR National Business Awards in the education category two years running in 2017 and 2018 as a result of its outstanding work in Singapore.

The EduTrust Certification Scheme (EduTrust) is a quality assurance scheme administered by Council of Private Education for Private EIs in Singapore. It aims to distinguish private schools that are able to consistently maintain a high standard of quality in the overall provision of education services and make continual improvements that lead to positive student outcomes.

There are three types of levels.

  • EduTrust Star: This is the highest award and it is for PEIs with commendable level of performance
  • EduTrust: This certification for PEIs with excellent level of performance
  • EduTrust Provisional: This award is for PEI who have attained a minimum level of performance in key areas of administration and provision of educational services
