About USYD Foundation Program

The University of Sydney Foundation Program is a pre-university program exclusively created to international students. It provides the academic and English language preparation for students who seeking entry to first-year undergraduate studies at the University of Sydney. It is also equivalent to an Australia year 12 qualification.

The program is conducted by Taylor College Perth and based in the centre of Sydney. It offers intensive, standard and extended options to suit students with a different academic level. The choice of subjects will depend on the student’s chosen degree major at the University of Sydney.

99% of Progression Rate

Over 99% of USYD foundation program students go on to their studies at a tertiary institution upon graduation. And in 2019, 97% of students received offers to the University of Sydney.

As a USYD foundation student, you receive an offer of a place in the USYD undergraduate course of your choice. All you need to do is achieve the necessary grades and meet any additional selection criteria prescribed by USYD (with the exception of degree programs which have a quota).

Flexible intakes throughout the year

The USYD foundation program offers multiple start dates to suit your academic level and degree choices. The program has 3 formats run from 39 weeks to 72 weeks to prepare student’s progression onto the undergraduate degree year one.
